GenerasiGIGIH is my first bootcamp, glad to join this great bootcamp, and got to the stage so far. This program is divided into 3 subjects, such as technical class which is running by YABB, english by CAKAP, and softskill by XLFL. This is what makes them so different and special, beside programming, they also teaching about english which is important for the globalization’s era where commonly information is in english. On the other hand, there’s some rules and advantage if we are using english during class or doing task. This method makes us to get used to reading, listening, writting, speaking in english.
Moreover, we’re also given softskill. Those materials are very is usefull. For instance, how to make CV, how to branding your personalities, tips and tricks before, while, after interview, and working ethic. Those information is prepared when the program is finished, hope the participant can compete later, not only good in hardskill but also softskill.
This bootcamp class is running on weekdays where usually I only intern and looking for a job. It trains me to manage time well. Technical class is started after office, so it doesn’t clash with working time. English class is held in the morning, it’s little bit difficult, because I need to correspond with work, fortunately twice a week.
In technical class, there is new information about the coding convention in working as a profesional backend, how to implement mvc properly and use unit testing. Also they teach about devops world like CI/CD. For it’s new. I believe by joining GenerasiGIGIH, when I apply, I am a candidate that can be considered, because of those skills, I’m sure with my skills and experience.
In virtual learning class, this phase can divided into 3 stage, before, while, and after. Before learning class, you need some preparation. Make sure your connection is stable, because if it’s not, information that you get it’s not clear, make sure your mic is working properly. Some of laptops like mine, can use mic using headphone, not working if I use earphone or any other else. Because my mic is broken, so I need external supported mic.
You have to make sure you learn about what material will be taught if you have class schedule, or the material that given by the organization. So you can fully understand. Make sure, your notification doesn’t disturb by muting it or closing the app, because notification will distract. Make sure your room is quite because it’s support your learning or at least, when you don’t give a noise when you’re speaking.
While learning, you should pay attention, Try to not doing another things, because, the information that you get from instructor and peers is not clear, if you do multitasking. After class, you can relearn the material by searching another references. Reference may contain great delivery that easy to understand. Asking to the peers and instructors if you have problem, taking an online courses in order to make us fully understand the material. In this bootcamp, they give a recorded class video. If you miss the material or want to make clear understanding, you replay it.
